- Kuranda Village
is nestled high in rainforest to the west of Cairns. Kuranda
is will known for its markets which sell an array of local arts
and crafts together with aboriginal artefacts. Both the Kuranda
Scenic Train and Skyrail Rainforest Cableway terminate at this
quaint village. other attractions in the village include Kuranda
koala Gardens. Australian Butterfly Sanctuary and Birdworld.
There is also a
selection of eateries to suit all tastes. A leisurely day spent in
Kuranda is a must for this visiting Tropical north Queensland.
Kuranda Koala
Gardens
is Kuranda's newest wildlife experience for visitors with
limited time but still wanting to see Australia's best known wildlife.
Featuring koalas, wallabies, wombats, crocodiles and a unique walk
through the snake an reptile house. Souvenir photos cuddling a koala -

The Australian
Butterfly Sanctuary - Kuranda is truly unique , a gorgeous
rainforest environment has been created to make over 1500 tropical
butterflies feel completely at home. All the butterflies are hand
reared on the premises, so all species are found locally. The stars
are the electric blue Ulysses and the magnificent Cairns Birdwing.
Guided tours are optional and complimentary and highly recommended. Be
warned, the butter\flies are friendly and will usually land on you .

beautiful rainforest experience.
The Kuranda Scenic
Train is universally know as one of the world's great train
experiences. Built under extremely difficult and dangerous conditions
over 100 years ago the line now winds its way from Cairns to Kuranda,
350 metres above sea level. The journey takes in 34 kilometres
of breathtaking world heritage listed tropical rainforest in the
Barron Gorge National Park. Passengers travel on board original
historic carriages past spectacular waterfalls, deep ravines , winding
tunnels and views to the Pacific Ocean ensure fantastic memories and
great photographs.
Daintree
Daintree rainforest is considered to be one of the most ancient rainforests in the
world. This World Heritage protected area is unique and diverse. Daintree is part of the Part of the Port Douglas Shire, 3800 people in total. Daintree National Park guided walk, Mossman Sugar Mill, Pineapple
Plantation, Daintree River Wilderness Cruise, The Rainforest Habitat (Rainforest & Wildlife
Park), Hand feed kangaroos. You might even get the chance to spot a crocodile
basking in the sun.
Cape
Tribulation The coastline between the Daintree River and Cooktown north of Cairns in Far North
Queensland is spectacular. Cape Tribulation is a rare example of the co-existence of two of the world's most diverse ecosystems, the tropical rainforest and coral reef. The Daintree and Cape Tribulation rainforest is one of the oldest in the world, with a high proportion of primitive species, and was given World Heritage status in 1988. Your experienced guide will give a full interpretation of this rainforest and will expand on the geographical and historical features of the region. Cape Tribulation is known to the locals as "Cape Trib".
Mossman
The breath taking Mossman Gorge is the centre of the attractions which features cool freshwater swimming holes and walking tracks, Tropical Fruit Farm, World War II Bomb Site,
Alexander Lookout, Outback Cattle Station. The Rainforest Habitat (Rainforest & Wildlife Park).
